Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant – Wolverhampton – About the role / Person specification
The role requires you to have gained a minimum of a 2:1 degree. All subjects will be considered however core subjects such as Maths, English and Sciences are preferable. Along with a recent degree you must have undertaken some form of work experience with children, this does not necessarily need to be in a school as experience coaching or being a guide/counsellor is also highly beneficial. The role itself will consist of assisting the class teacher with day-to-day tasks such as planning and conducting lessons.
As your confidence grows you will be encouraged to conduct your own lessons in which you will be responsible for planning and reviewing. As well as this you may be working 1:1 or in small groups with students who are finding certain aspects of the curriculum particularly challenging, therefore it will be your responsibility to ensure that they are given the correct amount of support to have the best chance of achieving their target grade.
