Graduate Progress Tutor – The role

- Starting September, for the academic year

This role is perfect for an ambitious graduate who is keen to take on responsibility from the start. Primarily the role will be supporting the class teachers with the planning and delivering of Year 6 SATS session, in order to give all children the extra support to reach their potential.
You will be differentiating classwork, to give those with a higher ability much needed challenge they are looking for, and those with a lower ability the extra support and encouragement they may need. This support will be through the delivery of targeted interventions and booster groups on a 1:1 and small group basis.
You will also be a key part of the department which provides pastoral support and transition workshops for children to successfully transition into secondary school.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to work in a high-pressured working environment, as well as a strong educational background, with a minimum of a 2:1 degree. Experience working with children or young people in any setting is desirable. You will need to have a commitment to education, safeguarding and the welfare of children.
