About the role:
The role of the Science Technician is to support and develop experiments and practical lessons in Chemistry, Biology and Physics up to GCSE level. This includes supporting the teaching staff in all areas of science and supervising student learning activities.
Responsibilities will include the preparation of workshop apparatus/equipment and materials as required, advising and assisting in the preparation of practical’s and controlled assessments, maintenance and cleaning of equipment after use. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to supervise and assist students during lessons, working with the class teacher to develop and deliver lessons.
The school are looking for a recent graduate who has at least a 2:1 in Physics, Chemistry or Biology, who also has strong A Levels. The role requires a good working knowledge of COSHH as well as attention to detail. You will need to be committed, dedicated and passionate about science, as well able to confidently engage with young learners.
