Graduate Secondary Learning Support Assistant – SEMH – Core Subject or Psychology Graduates

Secondary Learning Support Assistant:
- Supporting the Learning Support/SEN team with interventions
- Access to all staff training and even training throughout other schools within the academy
- Full-time, long-term role, paid up to £325 per week

About You:
- You will need a minimum of a 2:1 degree, preferably in a Core Subject or Psychology
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to education and ensuring equal opportunities is essential
- Previous experience with children or young people, particularly in SEN extremely advantageous
- You will need empathy, patience and resilience
About the Role:
- 1:1 and small group interventions with students with social, emotional and mental health needs, in order to understand and manage emotions
- Classroom support to ensure the young people you work with are engaged and learning
- Some students have social, emotional and mental health barriers to learning
- You will need additional nurturing interventions which are supported by the SENCo
