Graduate SEMH Assistant: Requirements  

  • 2:1 Degree or above in Psychology
  • Good A-Levels and GCSEs
  • A strong and resilient personality
  • Able to communicate effectively with members of staff, students, parents and carers
  • You should be flexible in your approach and able to adapt as and when

Graduate SEMH Assistant: The School

Graduate SEMH Assistant: The Role

  • You will be working closely, either on a 1:1 or small group basis with pupils who have SEMH needs. You will be supporting them with their studies to ensure they reach their target goals set out by the SENCo and class teacher.
  • Based within the SEN department, you will be able to develop your skills and expertise to get the best out of your students; academically, socially and behaviourally.
  • You will be engaging and communicating with other members of staff, parents and carers to inform them of progress and where improvements should be made
  • Good opportunity to use your subject knowledge to benefit young students by creating and implementing your own strategies.
