Person specification – Graduate Teaching Assistant 

  • Degree 2:2 or above, ideally in a core subject
  • Strong literacy/numeracy skills
  • Excellent academic background
  • previous experience of working with children, e.g tutoring

The school is an outstanding graded 3 form entry primary school with happy and lively children. You will be a teaching assistant who can dedicate themselves to the school for the entire academic year.

Teaching Assistants will be allocated a class group and you will spend at least 60% of this time supporting the teacher in the class and in the planning and preparation that makes every lesson a fun and stimulating experience.

Additionally – you will support booster and intervention sessions with pupils in Numeracy and Literacy. You must have a good level of spoken and written communication coupled with reasonable maths skills.
