The role involves supporting the class teacher and other members of the teaching team in providing and promoting an environment suitable for the development of pupils, with the focus of supporting a specific pupils with challenging behaviour during various stages of development in order to help them attain their full potential.

Inclusion Teaching Assistant – Behavioural Support – The Role:

  • Working in the alternative provision unit – 11-16 years old
  • Plan, deliver and run intervention sessions as an Inclusion Teaching Assistant
  • Tailor and adapt to specific student’s needs
  • Supporting pupils with challenging behaviour
  • Communicate effectively with both staff and parents
  • Immediate start

Inclusion Teaching Assistant – Behavioural Support – Person Specification

  • 2:1 or above degree in a core subject or Psychology
  • Strong academic background prior to university
  • Experience working with young people
  • Experience working with people with challenging behaviour
  • Compassionate and caring
  • Passionate about learning & education
