Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking to appoint a learning support assistant who is well organised, skilled and professional person to support students within the School. If you are passionate about young people, enjoy variety in your role and thrive on working in a busy environment this is a great opportunity for you. The successful candidate should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and relate well to young people. As a key member of the school’s support team you will be responsible for the academic support of students with special educational needs.

Learning Support Assistant – The Role:

  • Learning Support Assistant
  • Supporting pupils with their learning in small groups or in mainstream classes
  • Ensure pupils with EHC plans/ Student Support Plans are working towards their
    outcomes and help monitor this progress
  • Work alongside teaching staff to support pupils with literacy, numeracy,
    behaviour and/or special educational needs
  • Plan lessons and provide feedback for students
  • Paid £300 – £350 take home pay per week, term time only

Learning Support Assistant – Applicant Requirements:

  • Knowledge of how to remove barriers to learning for pupils with a range of SEN (cognitive learning difficulties, ASD, Communication and Language needs, Attachment needs, Social and Emotional development needs) and promote
  • How to support the development of social communication and  promoting high standards of literacy, articulacy and numeracy
  • Understanding of how to keep children safe in education
  • Familiar with the EHCP process and can contribute to these

Learning Support Assistant – The School:
