Physics Graduate Academic Mentor – Key Information:

  • Long-term, full time role
  • Outstanding secondary school based in Tower Hamlets
  • Contract role, paid weekly
  • £70 – £90 per day

Physics Graduate Academic Mentor – The Role:

  • 1:1 and small group tutoring
  • Plan & deliver interventions and assess student progress
  • Collaborate effectively with the science department
  • Co-teach some lessons
  • Attend extra-curricular clubs/run activities to support student engagement
  • Monitor the development of key students and put plans in to place to support them

Physics Graduate Academic Mentor – Person specification:

  • Physics related degree
  • 1 or 1st classification
  • Desire to work within education
  • An interest to train to teach in the future
  • Previous experience working with young people
  • Confident, high achieving and engaging
