Physics Graduate Teaching Assistant – Role Description

  • Physics Graduate Teaching Assistant – Long-term role
  • Paid teaching support placement, £90 – £95 per day (term-time only)
  • Full-time, Monday – Friday position
  • Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small intervention-based groups outside of the classroom
  • Organise and deliver Biology catch-up sessions to high achievers and students struggling with the curriculum
  • Prepare students for upcoming GCSE and examinations
  • Act as a strong role model for students

Physics Graduate Teaching Assistant – About You

  • Physics Graduate Teaching Assistant – aspiring teacher role
  • Minimum 2:1 degree in Physics (other sciences considered too)
  • Good A Levels or equivalent
  • Prior experience tutoring or peer mentoring would be advantageous
  • Confident and engaging personality
  • Ability to build relationships with staff and students
