Reading Intervention Instructor

A superb academy in Small Heath are seeking to appoint a reading intervention instructor. The Reading Intervention Instructor will support children’s outcomes through the delivery
of structured intervention programmes to small groups of students, primarily secondary aged children who are operating below their chronological reading age.  This is an amazing opportunity for aspiring Teachers.

Reading Intervention Instructor – The Role

  • Full time, Monday to Friday school hours
  • Paid £80 – £95 per day (term time)
  • Support children’s outcomes through the delivery of structured intervention programmes to small groups of students

Reading Intervention Instructor – The Responsibilities

  • Support pupil learning through the delivery of specific learning programmes
  • Setting high expectations whilst encouraging their independence and building their confidence
  • Promote inclusion, encouraging pupils to interact and work collaboratively
  • Work with the SENCO and other teachers to assess the needs of individual children,
    contribute to and implement Individual Education Plans
  • Adapt and develop resources for EAL and SEND pupils, ensuring their safety and enabling
    them to access the curriculum

Reading Intervention Instructor – Person Specifications
