Science Graduate Trainee Teacher – The Role:

In this role you will be employed initially as an unqualified teacher. In choosing to train to teach at this fantastic school, you will be trained by outstanding teachers in a high achieving and successful secondary school based in Newham.

You will have the opportunity to not only learn from outstanding teachers, but also become an outstanding teacher yourself. You will plan, deliver and assess teaching and learning opportunities. You will be working within a very supportive and welcoming science department and you will have every opportunity to develop and grow your teaching practice.

At the end of 4 rewarding, yet challenging terms, you will gain qualified teacher status and a PGCE (should you choose to study for the additional PGCE course). At this point you will be a qualified teacher with a salary to reflect your qualified teacher status.

Science Graduate Trainee Teacher – Person specification:

  • ·2.1 or 1st science degree
  • ·Biology, Chemistry or Physics specialist welcome
  • ·High achieving and highly aspirational individual
  • ·Strong A Levels
  • ·Some experience of working with young people
