Secondary Learning Support Assistant– The role

  • Secondary Learning Support Assistant
  • Assist with the development of learning activities to support development
  • Provide individual and small group interventions
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Improve students’ confidence
  • Assist pupils with physical needs
  • Provide regular feedback to pupils
  • Attend regular staff meetings
  • Work across the curriculum and year groups

Secondary Learning Support Assistant– Person specification

  • Degree in any discipline
  • Strong passion for improving academic success
  • Good IT ability
  • Experience working with secondary age pupils is desirable
  • Keen for professional development
  • Classroom management skills
