SEN Teaching Assistant & Specialist Accessor – The Role

  • Lead across areas of inclusion as identified and directed by the SENCO
  • Deliver the most appropriate
  • Conduct standardised assessments, exam access arrangements assessments and write Form 8s in compliance with JCQ guidance
  • Process Access Arrangements Online (AAO) and interpret external specialist assessment reports
  • Compliment the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility or agreed interventions
  • Able to properly plan, prep and deliver learning activities for both groups and individuals
  • Work with staff and parents
  • Term-time only, 38 working weeks per year

 

SEN Teaching Assistant & Specialist Accessor – Person Specification

  • Relevant experience in SEND
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Experience of working in a school
  • Understanding the importance of pupils achieving their full potential
  • Qualified Teacher Status, HLTA status or equivalent qualification to teach.
  • Level 7 equivalent in SpLD assessment or Certificate in Psychometric Testing and Access Arrangements (CPT3A)
