Person Specification

If you have a 2:1 or above degree, a passion for working with children and a real desire to pursue a career in education, we would like to hear from you! Ideally you will have some experience of working with children/young people. This role includes supporting the class teachers and children that display challenging behaviour, so you will need a determined and resilient personality.

About the role

This exciting role will see you working across Key Stage 2 supporting class teachers. Some children at the school display challenging behaviour, you will work with these children to support their learning and understand how to assistant them. You will receive excellent training from the school and use strategies to ensure the child’s learning is not disrupted. Aside from this you will be involved of all aspects of school life including extra-curricular activities! If you have a subject specialism (e.g Maths/Science) the school will utilise this knowledge to provide extra 1:1 sessions for children who need extra support.

About the school

This is a lovely two-form entry Primary school close to the city centre near Moston. The children are happy and eager to learn and staff are supportive of one another. The school is well known for supporting graduates in their first steps into education. It serves a diverse catchment area and pupils come from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds.
