Graduate Teaching Assistant – Primary Opportunities – Excellent PGCE Experience

Are you a high accomplishing graduate who has a keen interest in perhaps one day becoming a teacher?

Perhaps you have recently been applying for Graduate roles, but have now started to turn your attention to a school-based role, in anticipation of gaining paid school-based experience prior to teacher training in 2018?

We are currently working with a number of schools in the Dudley area who are keen to meet with core subject graduates who have an interest in becoming teachers. All of the roles are for the full academic year on a full-time basis paying up to £325 per week.

The experience gained within one of our Graduate Teaching Assistant roles is invaluable, you will gain an understanding of best teaching practice, whilst also having the opportunity to support young learners to succeed within your degree subject specialism.

As a graduate working as a Teaching Assistant you will gain an excellent understanding of education which give you a fantastic platform to eventually begin your teacher training the following year. The role will entail holding small group intervention sessions to help children to better understand key concepts within the subject. The role is open to graduates from any subject, ideally a core subject graduate such as English, Maths, Science and Humanities. You must have recently graduated with a minimum of a 2.1 degree classification.

The schools we work with are in locations across Wolverhampton. We are looking to hear from graduates who are passionate about working within a school, helping young people to achieve their goals and succeed. If you’ve ever thought about teaching as a career choice, but want to gain first-hand experience before committing to a PGCE then this role would be the ideal starting point.
