The ideal candidate for this role will have gained a 2:1 or higher in your Humanities degree in either History or Geography. The most important element is that you have a passion for your subject and to become an educator and work within a school setting in the future.

The Teaching Assistant role itself will find you supporting the class teacher over an array of topics, helping students gain a better understanding of learning objectives within the Humanities subjects listed. Throughout your time at the school you will find yourself working within the classroom and in smaller groups, aiding students who may need additional support in certain areas of science topics. You will also support pupils who may have SEN or behavioural difficulties.

The experience you gain from this role should be an incredibly valuable experience and support any applications any PGCE, School Direct or Teach First applications in the future.
