The role:

Assisting students within the English department to achieve their potential will be the aim of the Teaching Assistant role. You will work with students from a range of backgrounds and abilities via well-planned and resourced small group intervention sessions which you will lead.  As a key member of the English department, your role as a teaching assistant, will entail assisting the teachers by contributing your ideas to staff meetings and planning sessions.

Based in Brent, this school boasts state of the art facilities and a welcoming staff team. You will be greeted by a friendly team of new colleagues who will help you to settle in your new role, offering guidance and their experience where needed. The students are well behaved and well mannered, however you should be a confident individual who can work well when challenges present themselves. The English department is well resourced and lessons are good or outstanding, you will definitely learn a lot from excellent English teachers here!

Person Specification:

To be considered for the role you must have at least a 2.1 degree in an English based degree. You must have a good academic background including strong A Levels and GCSEs.
