Primary SEN Learning Assistant– Role Description

• Full-time, Mon-Fri
• £80 – £85 per day (term-time only)
• Long-term role, until July 2022
• Support children with Special Educational Needs
• Work in reception for the morning and then swap to support in Y6
• Support pupils with a wide range of needs and adapt to learning ways
• Work in small intervention-based groups
• Act as a good role model for young pupils

Primary SEN Learning Assistant – Person Specification

• Minimum 2:1 grade (Psychology degree preferred)
• Good A-Levels
• Ability to deal with challenging behaviour
• Knowledge of SEN
• Aspirations to work in education
• Prior experience supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis would be beneficial
