If you are a recent Psychology graduate eager to utilise your subject knowledge inside of a wonderful secondary school supporting the social, emotional and mental health needs of GCSE/A-Level students through 1:1 support inside and out of the classroom, then this Pastoral Dean role could be perfect for you!

In this role as a Pastoral Dean you will have the opportunity to move across classes currently studying for their GCSE/A-Levels, supporting students who may be struggling with the stress of their examinations. You will have the opportunity to be a real foundation of support for these students, offering superb pastoral support and interventions throughout the school day whilst maintaining a professional and supportive attitude.

You will also have the opportunity to support students with their career development, staging mock & actual careers interviews and discussing their career choices after completion of their secondary education!

Pastoral Dean –The Role:

  • Pastoral Dean
  • Located in Nottingham
  • Paid £350 – £375 per week, term time only
  • Providing 1:1 support to students with SEMH needs
  • Being an enthusiastic and proactive figure across school hours
  • Planning and conducting key interventions inside and out of classroom
  • Role until the end of the academic year – 5 days a week!

Pastoral Dean – Applicant Requirements:

  • Minimum 2:1 Psychology based degree
  • Strong academic background
  • Previous experience working with young people
  • Outgoing and supportive personality
  • Brilliant organisation and communications skills
  • Passionate about supporting young people’s development
