Learning Support Assistant – The role

• Learning Support Assistant
• Report to the SEN manager
• Attend to individuals’ personal care and mobility needs. Full training provided
• Work with therapists to ensure appropriate therapy is provided
• Provide regular feedback to staff and parents
• Carry out routine administration tasks
• Support on educational visits where required
• Create an inclusive environment for students
• September start date

Learning Support Assistant – Person specification

• 2:1 or above degree
• Ability to use initiative to work independently
• Passionate about learning
• Good understanding of child development
• Experience working with young people with special educational needs – desirable
• Enthusiasm to take on new responsibilities as a Learning Support Assistant
