As a Pastoral Support Assistant, you will support the Class Teacher in delivering a creative approach to teaching in an alternative classroom environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate that is looking to begin their career in education and in the pastoral sector. Also, you will develop new teaching strategies to improve the lives of young people, which means you will be making a difference by simply doing your job! 

Pastoral Support Assistant – About You

• Pastoral Support Assistant
• Ideal role for a Psychology graduate
• Good academic background e.g. A-Levels or equivalent
• Prior experience working with students/children is essential
• Previous experience working with students with SEN would be desirable
• Confident in dealing with challenging behaviour
• Passionate about improving the lives of young people
• Have a good sense of humour

Pastoral Support Assistant – Role Description

• Pastoral Support Assistant role
• Long-term and full-time position
• Paid teaching support role £85 – £95 per day (term-time only)
• Support students predominantly with Maths, English, and Science
• Provide advice and support the welfare of all students
• Develop and deliver enrichment activities
• Build relationships with students, parents/carers, and Teachers
