SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking to appoint a caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join a lovely secondary school in Kingstanding.

SEN Teaching Assistant – The Role:

  • SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Long-term full-time role
  • Paid £300-350 per week take home pay, term time only
  • Start after the October half-term
  • Supporting students with learning difficulties who struggle to access the academic curriculum independently
  • Provide support with concentration, reading, writing, numeracy, receptive vocabulary, processing speed, memory, organisation.
  • Become a member of secondary SEN department

SEN Teaching Assistant – Applicant Requirements:

  • Minimum 2:2 university degree
  • Strong academic background
  • Experience supporting people with SEN
  • Passionate about providing superb learning support
  • Naturally warm and supportive personality
  • Brilliant organisation & communication skills

SEN Teaching Assistant – The School:

  • Non-selective comprehensive state secondary school in Kingstanding
  • Rated as ‘Good’ by OFSTED
  • Described as a community of love and compassion
  • Students are taught to be kind, respectful and tolerant towards every person they encounter
  • SEN department run by a supportive SENCO
