In this role as a Science Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a team of core subject tutors to create fun intervention based sessions for students at all levels.

Science Teaching Assistant – The Role

• Full-time, long-term Science Teaching Assistant position
• No supply work – Science Teaching Assistant role based in one school for the full academic year
• Assist the teacher with delivery and planning of lessons
• Paid weekly during term time
• Weekly pay rate of £85 – £95 per day
• Possibility of further teacher training within placed school after completion of Science Teaching Assistant role
• Build a report with students for the best impact

Science Teaching Assistant – Person Specification

• Science degree, 2:2 or higher
• Strong academic background e.g. A-levels
• Passion for teaching and inspiring, previous experience is desirable but not essential
• Hard working and resilient
• Ready to work in a dynamic department alongside other Science Teaching Assistants
• Friendly and outgoing personality – ready to engage with student
• The ideal candidate must have a good knowledge of the UK curriculum as this is essential for the role
