Are you a recent university graduate with a passion for education, and a desire to work alongside experienced professionals providing 1:1 support to students as a Student Support Assistant?

Maybe you’re interested in progressing into a career within Psychology, but want to gain first hand SEMH experience as a Student Support Assistant in an excellent secondary school?

A superb secondary school based just outside of Derby is looking to find a warm, supportive and outgoing recent Psychology based graduate to provide superb 1:1 & small group support to children struggling with their mental health. In this role you will be following a carefully structured care plan, making sure students are given the very best care and support both inside and out of the classroom.

You will be paid between £400 – £410 per week during term time, working in a Monday to Friday role from 08.30am to 15.00pm until July 2023. You will also have access to our Online CPD college partnership, where after 6 weeks of placement you will have free access to a course on Mental Health Awareness, Safeguarding or SEN education.

Student Support Assistant – Applicant Requirements:

  • Minimum 2:1 Psychology or Education based degree
  • Strong academic background
  • Prior experience working with young people
  • Naturally warm, supportive and outgoing personality
  • Eager to find a role supporting young people
  • Passionate about providing care for children with SEN/SEMH
