Graduate Gifted and Talented Teaching Assistant
- Immediate start – full-time role for full academic year

- Running university and career workshops
- Paid £425 to £475 a week

In this role you will primarily act as an Academic Mentor for the most able students. You will be required to work with the students on 1:1 and small group basis. You will have the responsibility of creating your own resources and intervention plans to ensure that these students achieve above and beyond their expectations. The school have found that Graduates make the perfect mentors for their gifted and talented pupils as they have the recent experience of University and can transfer that knowledge and ambition to their pupils. You may also be required to support in the classroom to help the teacher with the delivery of tricky National Curriculum objectives.
Another element of this role will see you leading workshops on CV writing, interview techniques and other university applications among some things. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your teaching skills, as well as understanding the additional requirements of working with young people.
This position would suit a graduate who has a strong academic background, with a minimum of a 2:1 degree in a core subject, with excellent A Level grades. You should have excellent communication skills, in order to communicate with a wide range of people from colleagues, pupils and parents. You will have the ability to demonstrate a desire to begin a successful career in education through hard work and determination.
