Are you a recent Science based subject graduate in Derby looking for the opportunity to provide 1:1 & small group support to secondary students in a wonderful secondary school?

Maybe you’re interested in a career within education, and want to gain first-hand tutoring experience inside and out of the classroom as a Science Subject Tutor?

Perhaps you’re considering you’re career options, but want to utilise your degree subject knowledge in a Science Subject Tutor role based inside of a wonderful secondary school?

A wonderful secondary school based in Derby is looking to provide there Year 10 & 11 students with the best possible 1:1 & small group support both inside and out of the classroom for the remainder of the academic year. In this role you will be analysing student’s weak points, and then planning and conducting 1:1 & small group support sessions for students across the Science subject.

You will be paid £88 per day during term time in a Monday to Friday role based in one school, ending in July 2023. Working hours are from 08.30am – 15.30pm, and you will also have the opportunity to take a free subject enhancement knowledge course on a topic of your choice via the online CPD college.

Science Subject Tutor – Applicant Requirements:

  • Minimum 2:1 Science subject based degree
  • Strong academic background
  • Passionate about your specialist subject

  • Good organisation & communication skills
  • Passionate about educating young people
