Student Mental Health Adviser

As a Student Mental Health Adviser, you will provide information, advice and guidance to 16-18-year olds who are experiencing a range of mental health issues.

Student Mental Health Adviser – The Role:

  • £23,367 per annum FTE
  • Hours of work will be full-time, term-time only
  • Working closely with key members of the Student Services team
  • Responsible for a caseload of students, supporting them to develop their resilience and improve their mental health
  • Providing engaging mental health training and guidance to staff on how to effectively support students
  • Establishing strong external partnership relationships are also important aspects of this role.

Student Mental Health Adviser – Applicant Requirements:

  • Minimum 2:1 degree in any subject
  • Previous experience working with young people in schools setting
  • Previous experience supporting students with safeguarding and mental health
  • Having a good understanding of SEMH needs
  • Passionate about supporting academic success as well as the physical and emotional welfare of young people
