Do you want the opportunity to help plan and conduct 1:1 support sessions for a child inside of a KS2 department with ADHD as a Pastoral Teaching Assistant?

A wonderful primary school based in Derby is looking to find a warm, dedicated and naturally outgoing Pastoral Teaching Assistant to work inside of their excellent KS1 department providing 1:1 support to a child with ADHD and additional behavioural needs. You will be working both inside and out of the classroom creating a safe and secure environment for the child, whilst making sure they have the opportunity to focus fully on their primary education.

In this role as a Pastoral Teaching Assistant, you will be paid £84 per day during term in a Monday-Friday position beginning ASAP and ending in July 2023. The working hours are from 08.30am until 15.30pm, and you will also have access to a free subject enhancement knowledge course on topics such as Safeguarding, Mental Health Awareness and Managing Challenging Behaviour.

Pastoral Teaching Assistant – Applicant Requirements:

• Minimum 2:1 Psychology or Education Studies based degree
• Strong academic background
• Prior experience working with young people
• Naturally warm and supportive personality
• Eager to gain first-hand school based TA experience
• Good organisation & communication skills
• Passionate about a career working with young children
