Infant & Nursery School – Swadlincote – Full Time – Starting ASAP – Ending July 2023

Are you a recent graduate with a passion for education, and a desire to join a wonderful KS1 department providing vital 1:1 support for a child with Autism & ADHD inside and out of the classroom?

A wonderful Infant & Nursery school based in Swadlincote is looking to find a warm, proactive and outgoing SEN Support Assistant to join their KS1 department for the remainder of the academic year in a Monday to Friday role. In this role as an SEN Support Assistant, you will be providing vital 1:1 support to a child with Autism & ADHD whilst creating a calm and supportive working space for the child to progress their understanding of the primary curriculum.

In this role as an SEN Support Assistant, you will earn £84 per day during term time in a Monday to Friday position until the end of the academic year in July, with the working hours being from 08.30am until 15.30pm. You will also have access to our partnership with the online CPD college, and a free subject enhancement knowledge course on topics such as safeguarding, children’s mental health and managing challenging behaviour.

SEN Support Assistant – Role Requirements:

• Minimum 2:1 UK based university degree
• Strong academic background
• Prior experience working with young children
• Excellent organisation & communication skills
• Naturally warm and supportive personality
• Passionate about a career supporting children
• Eager to gain vital first-hand SEN experience
