English Academic Mentor 

Are you a recent English subject based graduate with a passion for your specialist subject, and a desire to gain first-hand mentoring experience supporting Y11 pupils prepare for their GCSEs?

A superb secondary school based in the heart of Nottingham is looking to find an enthusiastic, outgoing and naturally engaging recent English subject based graduate to help provide vital 1:1 support to their Y11 pupils in preparation for their GCSE exams this Summer.

In this role as an English Academic Mentor, you will be planning and conducting 1:1 support sessions for a Year 11 pupil in need of consistent individual support due to SEMH needs based outside of the classroom.

You will be paid £85 per day during term time in a Monday to Friday role based in one school, starting immediately and ending at in July 2023. You will also have access to our partnership with the Online CPD College, and a free subject enhancement knowledge course on topics such as SEN, Safeguarding and Mental Health Awareness.

English Academic Mentor – Applicant Requirements:

  • Minimum 2:1 UK based English subject degree
  • Strong academic background
  • Naturally warm and supportive personality
  • Strong organisation & communication skills
  • Passionate about the development of young people
  • Comfortable planning and conducting support sessions
  • Interested in pursuing a career within education
