Designated Safeguarding Lead – Responsibilities –
- Respond in a timely manner to safeguarding referrals to ensure learners are kept safe from harm
- Carry out and monitor interventions and provide support necessary to staff, learners, and employers
- Maintain the records, detailing safeguarding and intervention activity, referrals, and outcomes, ensuring it complies with all relevant legislation
- Raise awareness of child protection policies and welfare, safeguarding and child protection issues
- Take responsibility for the management of Child Protection Files
- Ensure they are always available for staff to discuss safeguarding concerns
Designated Safeguarding Lead – About the role –
- Located in Bradford
- £30,000 per annum
- Mon-Fri – Full time
- Excellent Secondary School
- Supportive SLT

Designated Safeguarding Lead – Person Specification –
- Previous experience in the safeguarding field
- Related degree desired
- Safeguarding related qualification
- A clear and good understanding of safeguarding issues, theory, and practice
- Training in child protection and safeguarding procedures
- Basic knowledge of first aid, e.g., Emergency first aid
- Knowledge of many of the social issues facing students from disadvantaged backgrounds
