1:1 GCSE Support Coach – Newcastle – Full Time – Beginning September 2023 –

A superb secondary academy based in Newcastle is eager to find a hard-working, passionate and naturally outgoing incoming 2023 Core Subject graduate to provide superb 1:1 & small group academic support across the schools KS3 department.

In this role as a 1:1 GCSE Support Coach, you will be planning and conducting 1:1 & small group support sessions for KS4 students in the English, Maths & Science subject depending on your subject specialism whilst following a guided curriculum plan.

The role is aimed towards incoming 2023 Core Subject graduates, eager to gain vital first-hand teaching experience inside of a school setting before progressing into a teaching training programme for the following academic year however isn’t mandatory.

1:1 GCSE Support Coach – The Role:

• Full-time Monday – Friday position
• Beginning September 2023 – Full Academic Year
• Usual school working hours: 08.30am – 15.00pm
• Paid £86 per day during term time ONLY
• Free access to Online CPD College course
• Planning & conducting 1:1 & small group support sessions
• Working both inside and out of the classroom
• Following carefully structured curriculum plan
• Based across English, Maths, Science & Humanities

1:1 GCSE Support Coach – Applicant Requirements:

• Minimum 2:1 UK based university degree
• Good academic background
• Prior experience working with young people
• Passionate about your specialist subject
• Naturally outgoing and proactive person
• Supportive and engaging personality
• Ability to develop relationships quickly
