Graduate Early Years Teaching Assistant – the role
This position is perfect for an enthusiastic and outgoing graduate who would like to gain a fascinating insight into the day-to-day running of a successful Early Years department. This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody who looking to expand their experience creating and delivering practical educational activities that fit perfectly within Early Years education. You will be supporting a busy and happy Reception classroom, helping children ages 4-5 to adapt, develop and thrive in their first year of school. You will be taking on additional personal support for some children who may not feel as confident or independent as their peers. There may also be the opportunity to work in Nursery.
Part of this role will be to lead small group classes to develop a confidence and understanding of phonics, handwriting and personal development. The class teacher will provide you will all the resources needed to ensure these children and progressing as best they can. Much of the role within an Early Years classroom is to track progress through learning journeys by observing play.
Graduate Early Years Teaching Assistant – requirements
This child-centred school is looking for a caring, patient and empathetic nature, with strong communication and resilience. You will need to have a good academic background, with a minimum of a 2:1 degree and strong A Levels. Some transferable experience working with children and a commitment to working in education is extremely desirable.
