A fantastic secondary academy based in South Shields is eager to find a knowledgeable and outgoing Graduate Academic Tutor to provide excellent 1:1 & small group support to their students across KS3 & KS4 within Core, Humanities and Languages subjects.

In this role as a Learning Support Assistant, you will be providing excellent academic support to secondary students across the schools KS3 & KS4 department through vital 1:1 support sessions & small group sessions in your specialist subject throughout the academic year.

You will be paid £88 per day during term time only, with a FREE subject enhancement knowledge course on topics such as SEN, Mental Health and Managing Challenging Behaviour in the classroom. The role is a Monday to Friday position based in a warm and welcoming secondary school for the full academic year.

• Full time – Monday to Friday role

• Paid £440 – £450 per week during term time only
• Free access to online CPD college course based in education
• Planning and conducting 1:1 support sessions for students across KS3 & KS4
• Analysing and supporting students with topics they struggle with
• Creating engaging and inspiring learning support sessions

Graduate Academic Tutor – Applicant Requirements:

• Incoming 2023 Core, Humanities or Languages subject degree
• Strong academic background
• Prior experience teaching, tutoring, mentoring or volunteering
• Naturally supportive and engaging personality
• Passionate about providing all-round support to young people
• Ability to develop instant rapport with students
• Good organisation & communication skills
