This popular secondary school is looking for a hardworking and dedicated Science graduate who is considering teaching as a career in the near future. You will have a strong academic background and some previous experience of working with children, for example tutoring.
The ideal personality match for this school would be an energetic and bubbly individual who can adapt to meet the needs of individual pupils. Ideally you will have some experience of working with children either through volunteering or paid work.
About the Role – Science Teaching Assistant / Technician
In this exciting role you will be supporting the Science department. You will split your time between providing vital 1:1 booster sessions for pupils who need extra support and assisting the teachers as a Science Technician.
After a period of training and as your confidence grows, you will be able to deliver your own ‘mini’ lessons to small groups of students and assist in planning exciting lessons with the teacher. You can really bring out your creative side and get involved in fun practical experiments. This role until the end of July is perfect for anyone considering a PGCE in September 2024 or after.
