Primary SEN Teaching Assistant – Nottingham City Centre (NG4) – Full Academic Year

Maybe you’re looking for the opportunity to provide excellent 1:1 support to young children in a full-time role for the coming academic year as a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant?

Perhaps you’re interested in pursuing a career as a Child Psychologist, but first want to gain vital school-based SEN experience as a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant?

In this role as a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working directly with the pupil both inside and out of the classroom planning and conducting 1:1 support sessions based around their Education Health Care Plan.

Primary SEN Teaching Assistant – Role Information:

  • Full academic year
  • Located in Nottingham (NG4)
  • Based in one primary school for full year
  • Working hours: 08.30am – 15.00pm
  • Paid £445 per week during term time
  • FREE access to multiple Online CPD College courses
  • Planning and conducting 1:1 sessions around EHCP
  • Working directly with pupil inside and out of classroom

Primary SEN Teaching Assistant – Applicant Requirements:

  • Minimum 2:1 Psychology or Education Studies based university graduate
  • Strong academic background
  • Prior experience mentoring, tutoring or volunteering
  • Passionate about your specialist subject
  • Naturally warm and engaging personality
  • Good organisation and communication skills
  • Ability to develop rapport with people quickly
