A wonderful primary school based in Jarrow is looking to find a dedicated, hard-working and naturally engaging Learning Support Assistant to join their superb SEN department based in Jarrow for the coming academic year in a Monday to Friday role supporting a child with Autism.
In this role as a Learning Support Assistant, you will be planning and conducting 1:1 support sessions for a child with Autism based around a carefully structured Education Health Care Plan.

Learning Support Assistant – Role Information:
- Learning Support Assistant
- Located in Jarrow (NE32)
- Monday to Friday role – Based in one school for full academic year
- Working hours: 08.30am – 15.00pm
- Paid £430 per week during term time
- FREE online CPD course – SEN, Safeguarding & Mental Health
- Planning and conducting 1:1 & small group support for children with SEN
- Tailoring support sessions around pupil’s Education Health Care Plan
- Creating a warm and comforting environment for pupils

Learning Support Assistant – Applicant Requirements:
- Minimum 2:1 Psychology, Sociology or Education Studies based degree
- Strong academic background
- Prior experience working with young people
- Naturally engaging and outgoing personality
- Passionate about a career working with young children
- Polite and respectful individual – Patient regarding pupils progress
- Good organisation and communication skills
