Head of Computing – the role 

  • To assist the senior leadership team in delivering an exciting, broad and relevant curriculum  
  • Be a role model of excellent practice  
  • Support a team of 5 teachers and deliver CPD  
  • Teach KS3 Computer Science, ICT and Media at KS4 
  • Ability to teach KS4 Computer science would be highly desirable  
  • Growing and successful school in Manchester  
  • 1200+ pupils  
  • Excellent senior leadership team  
  • High proportion of pupil premium students  

Person specification – Head of Computing 

  • An experienced and successful teacher – not suitable for ECTs  
  • Qualified Teacher Status  
  • Excellent subject knowledge  
  • Fantastic leadership qualities
