Graduate SEN Mentor – Role Information:

  • Graduate SEN Mentor – ASAP Start!
  • Located in Hexham (NE46)
  • Paid £430 per week during term time
  • Based inside of ONE secondary school
  • Full academic year – Monday to Friday role
  • FREE online CPD college courses – SEN, Safeguarding & Mental Health
  • Working hours: 08.30am – 15.00pm
  • Providing in-class support across KS3 department
  • Planning and conducting 1:1 & small group pastoral support
  • Creating a warm and comforting environment

Graduate SEN Mentor – Applicant Requirements:

  • Minimum 2:1 UK based Psychology, Education or Sociology based degree
  • Strong academic background
  • Prior experience working with young people
  • Passionate about supporting young people’s mental health
  • Outgoing and engaging individual
  • Naturally supportive and patient
  • Eager to gain first-hand school based SEMH experience
