We are looking for a confident Open Learning Centre Adviser to join the team of a large, outstanding, and highly successful Sixth Form College in central Birmingham.

Open Learning Centre Adviser – The Role:
• Manage the Open Learning Centre daily to ensure a conducive learning environment.
• Monitor and maintain student behaviour for productive study.
• Offer one-on-one and group academic support, including ‘Digital Skills Booster’ sessions.
• Assist students with accessing learning materials on platforms like Google Classroom.
• Provide initial IT guidance for password, printing, and basic tech issues.
• Offer guidance on effective online learning and study skills.
• Support digital employability workshops and events.
• Research, recommend, and promote digital initiatives, including AI and assistive technology.
• Participate in appraisal and professional development.
• Fulfil additional duties within the post’s scope.
Open Learning Centre Adviser – The Benefits:

Open Learning Centre Adviser – Applicant Requirements:
• Minimum 2:1 degree in any subject
• Youth engagement experience preferred, especially in education or community work.
• Strong relationship-building skills with staff and students.
• Able to conduct group mentoring.
• Able to handle challenging student behaviours.
• Proficiency in using IT for classroom support.
• Demonstrated creative teamwork on projects.
