A wonderful alternative provision academy based in Chesterfield is looking to find a hard-working, dedicated and resilient Academic & Behaviour Mentor able to provide vital in class support alongside the class teacher to KS3 & KS4 students who are no longer in mainstream education due to behavioural issues.

Academic & Behaviour Mentor – Role Information:

• Academic & Behaviour Mentor – Monday to Friday role
• Starting January 2024 – Interviewing NOW!
• Located in Chesterfield (S41)
• Based in one alternative provision academy
• Paid £430 per week during term time only
• Working alongside class teacher during lesson time
• Supporting KS3 & KS4 children with behavioural needs
• Planning and conducting lessons alongside teacher
• Covering class teacher should scenario occur

Academic & Behaviour Mentor – Applicant Requirements:

• Minimum 2:1 UK based university degree
• Strong academic background
• Prior experience tutoring, teaching, mentoring or working with children
• Naturally outgoing and motivated individual
• Passionate about a career working with young people
• Good organisation and communication skills
• Ability to develop rapport with young people
• *Full UK driving license required*
