i-teachers are working with a superb secondary academy located in the Nottingham area who are looking to find an outgoing, supportive and dedicated Academic Support Mentor able to provide vital 1:1 & small group support to their Year 11 students.

In this role as an Academic Support Mentor, you will be supporting students in the Year 11 department in preparation for their GCSE’s tailoring specific support sessions based both inside and out of the classroom.

Academic Support Mentor – Role Information:

• Academic Support Mentor – Monday to Friday role
• Starting January 2024 – Interviewing NOW!
• Located in Nottingham (S41)
• Based in one secondary academy
• Paid £430 per week during term time only
• Supporting Year 11 students inside and out of class
• Tailoring 1:1 & small group support sessions around weak points
• Keeping students engaged and proactive throughout

Academic Support Mentor – Applicant Requirements:

• Minimum 2:1 UK based Core Subject, Humanities or Languages degree
• Strong academic background
• Prior experience tutoring, teaching, mentoring or working with children
• Naturally outgoing and motivated individual
• Passionate about a career working with young people
• Good organisation and communication skills
• Ability to develop rapport with young people
