Graduate Teaching Assistant – SEND – The Role and The Benefits:

• Based in Leeds (with great transport links!)
• Work with class teacher to support SEND student across their learning
• Help student develop confidence and be patient with the pace at which they learn
• Use initiative and know when to support student on a 1:1 basis and when to allow for independent work
• Liaise with parents/guardians when appropriate to offer feedback on progress or concerns
• Support students to maintain a healthy lifestyle and mental well-being
• Long-term role, no daily supply
• £350-£450 per week (term-time only)

Person Specification – Graduate Teaching Assistant – SEND:

• 2:1 or above (Psychology degree preferred but other subjects welcome!)
• Excellent academic background
• Relevant experience in a school is essential
• Previous experience in other relevant settings
• Confident, attentive, and patient personality
• Ability to deal with challenging behaviour
