Graduate Teaching Assistant – Chesterfield – Secondary – Full Time – Immediate Start

i-teachers are currently working with a fantastic alternative provision secondary academy based in the Chesterfield area who are looking to find hard-working, resilient and dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant’s to work alongside their class teachers providing 1:1 & small group support to students across KS3 & KS4.

In this role as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, the successful candidate will be required to provide support to the class teacher in planning and conducting lessons whilst also supporting students inside of the classroom with tailored 1:1 & small group support.

Graduate Teaching Assistant – Role Information:

• Graduate Teaching Assistant
• Located in Chesterfield (S41)
• Based in one alternative provision secondary academy
• Monday to Friday position – Usual school working hours
• Immediate Start – Contracted role ending July 2024
• Paid £440 per week during term time only
• FREE access to multiple online CPD courses
• Planning and conducting lessons alongside class teacher
• Implementing 1:1 & small group SEMH support
• Supporting students with behavioural and SEMH needs

Graduate Teaching Assistant – Applicant Requirements:

• Minimum 2:1 UK based degree
• Strong academic background
• Prior experience working with young people
• Naturally outgoing and personable individual
• Good organisation and communication skills
• Passionate about the opportunity to work with children
• Ability to build strong rapport with staff and students
