Graduate Teaching Assistant – Newcastle Upon Tyne – Secondary – Full Time

Graduate Teaching Assistant – Role Information:

  • Graduate Teaching Assistant
  • Located in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne (NE1)
  • Based in one secondary academy – Pastoral department
  • Monday to Friday position – Usual school working hours
  • Immediate Start – Contracted role ending July 2024
  • Paid £450 per week during term time only
  • FREE access to multiple online CPD courses
  • Implementing 1:1 & small group SEMH support across KS3 & KS4
  • Supporting students with behavioural and SEMH needs

Graduate Teaching Assistant – Applicant Requirements:

  • Minimum 2:1 Psychology, Sociology or Core Subject based degree
  • Strong academic background
  • Prior experience working with young people
  • Naturally outgoing and personable individual
  • Good organisation and communication skills
  • Passionate about the opportunity to work with children
  • Ability to build strong rapport with staff and students
