i-teachers are currently working with an excellent secondary academy based in the Coalville area who are eager to find a dedicated, naturally outgoing and compassionate Graduate Teaching Assistant to provide academic, social and emotional support to students with SEMH needs for the remainder of the academic year in a full-time role.

Graduate Teaching Assistant – Role Information:

  • Graduate Teaching Assistant
  • Located in Coalville (LE67)
  • Based in one academy for remainder of academic year
  • Beginning ASAP – Usual school working hours
  • Paid £450 per week during term time before tax
  • Multiple online free CPD courses available – SEN, Mental Health & Safeguarding
  • Planning and conducting 1:1 & small group support for children with SEMH needs
  • Creating tailored intervention sessions based inside and out of the classroom.

Graduate Teaching Assistant – Applicant Requirements:

  • Minimum 2:1 Psychology, Sociology or Core Subject degree
  • Strong academic background
  • Prior experience working with children or adolescents
  • Good organisation and communication skills
  • Naturally outgoing and supportive individual
  • Ability to build immediate rapport with children
