Primary Teaching Assistant – Role Information:

• Primary Teaching Assistant
• Located in Gateshead (NE2)
• Based in secondary academy for remainder of academic year
• Beginning ASAP – Usual school working hours
• Paid £450 per week during term time before tax
• Multiple online free CPD courses available – SEN, Mental Health & Safeguarding
• Planning and conducting 1:1 & small group support for KS1 & KS2 pupils
• Working alongside the class teacher during lesson time

Primary Teaching Assistant – Applicant Requirements:

• Minimum 2:1 Psychology, Sociology or Education Studies UK based degree
• Strong academic background
• Prior experience working with children or adolescents
• Good organisation and communication skills
• Naturally outgoing and supportive individual
• Ability to build immediate rapport with children
