i-teachers are currently working with a fantastic secondary academy based in the Consett area who are eager to find a proactive, resilient and dedicated Student Behaviour Assistant to join their secondary academy in a full-time role for the remainder of the academic year supporting students with SEMH needs based both inside and out of the classroom.

Student Behaviour Assistant – Role Information:

  • Student Behaviour Assistant
  • Located in Consett (DH8)
  • Based in one secondary school
  • Remainder of academic year – Monday to Friday
  • Working hours: 08.30am – 15.00pm
  • FREE online CPD courses – SEN, Mental Health & Safeguarding
  • Planning and conducting 1:1 & small group support
  • Supporting students with behavioural & SEMH needs

Student Behaviour Assistant – Applicant Requirements:

  • Minimum 2:1 Psychology, Education Studies or Sociology UK based degree
  • Strong academic background
  • Prior experience working with children or young people
  • Naturally outgoing and dedicated individual
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Ability to build strong rapport with children and adolescents

Student Behaviour Assistant – The School:

  • Located in Consett (DH8)
  • Dedicated and proactive Pastoral support department
  • Close relationships with parents of students
