Are you a recent or incoming Psychology, Childhood Studies or Neuroscience graduate with a desire to find a meaningful SEND Teaching Assistant role in central Birmingham supporting a child with complex learning needs?

A wonderful primary school located in the B23 are of Birmingham is eager to add a hard-working, dedicated and naturally outgoing SEND Teaching Assistant to support a child with Autism inside of their KS1 department in a full-time role for the remainder of the academic year continuing until July 2026.

In this role as an SEND Teaching Assistant, the successful candidate will be required to provide excellent academic, social and emotional support to a child in need of a consistent foundation of support for the remainder of the academic year continuing into the next.

SEND Teaching Assistant – Role Information:

  • SEND Teaching Assistant
  • Located in Birmingham (B23)
  • Paid £95 per day during term time only
  • Supporting child in KS1 department with complex learning needs
  • Tailoring support sessions around pre-set Education Health Care Plan
  • Monday to Friday role – May 2025 to July 2025 contracted role
  • Working hours: 08.15am – 15.30pm with 40 minute lunch break

SEND Teaching Assistant – Applicant Requirements:

  • UK based Psychology, Childhood Studies or Neuroscience degree
  • Experience working with children in any capacity
  • Passionate about supporting the all-round development of children
  • Interest in a career within Educational Psychology
  • Strong organisation and communication skills
